The garden is starting to grow

Our garden is not doing very well this year. We have really had one issue after another trying to just get started. The greenhouse was not done until March, so the seeds were started late. Some seeds did not even take well (my Roma tomato) and some got too tall before we even got them in the ground. Other plants did much better.

Our potatoes. Thirty plants growing great in their mulch hill. This is the one and only plant that was put in the garden on time.

Here are some of our homemade tomato cages. They are made out of scrap wood and left over fence. I still need about 9 more. But we ran out of time.

Here my husband and daughter are putting in the watermelon that we started in the greenhouse. They should take pretty easy. We'll see soon enough

Now if we could just get past the never ending drought that we are having, we might actually get some food out of this garden.
