Goats Milk

Just wanted to post a picture I took after milking the goat. Right now we are milking just one goat, Flower. This is our second time she has been our milker. The first time was a learning experience for me. I never could get her to milk more then a pint a day. Now I have her giving me a quart a day. One thing I figured out, is the baby goat will not stop nursing even after I start milking, which may be the reason I couldn't get much last time. So, for now we have to keep the baby goat, Petal, away from mom. The baby is almost a year old and still wants to nurse.

I am storing the milk in plastic juice bottles that I have saved from our favorite juice, pomegranate. The POM brand bottles are fancy and have a nice thread on lid. They only hold a quart and a half, but I still like them.
